Help me GREEN my bathroom

Is it better to fix the tub’s minor cracking or just replace it?… There are no windows in the bathroom, so solar solutions are out.

The Natural Dentist

I think I have been using the same toothpaste since I started college in 2002. It is not that I am locked into some weird bathroom ritual three times a…

One With Nature Lemon Verbena Soap

So I was very optimistic about this being a moisturizing soap, perhaps so much so that I could forgo moisturizing after my shower. … I was very happy with this product and glad to see how many different scents (16 in all found on their website) that they have incorporated the sea salts into. With the great scents and the large size of the bar compared to a normal sized soap I would definitely say that this is a great soap even for the lack of moisturizing I expected.

Gaby’s Gourmet Chocolate Banana Cherry Granola

Gaby has done a good job of making the grain part of this mix less sweet than many granolas, so when you get a piece of chocolate or fruit in there, it isn’t over the top.

…There’s a good amount of chocolate in here, but I think they’d do better to make the chocolate pieces a little smaller so more mouthfuls would have a little taste of it. … Overall, I thought this granola mix was good…not quite great for my tastes, but definitely worth a try It is pretty healthy…compared with a popular brand of granola bars, for example, it has less sodium, a little less sugar, and a little less fat.

World of Grains

In an all-you-can-eat culture, it makes some sense, but it’s a good idea to take a look at where those calories come from, not just how many of them there are. … You won’t find anything as decadent as an Oreo or a Chips Ahoy, but if you’re willing to sacrifice some fat, sugar, and the familiar pleasure that goes along with them, these are worth a try. … These World of Grains cookies might not do too well in a blind taste test, but I think they’re counting on customers that don’t eat blindly but rather take a few minutes to read the label.

Beverage Reviews

Hank’s Green Apple Gourmet Infusion

Flavor-wise, Hank has created for us quite a tasty treat, using apple and lemon juice concentrates, along with 39 grams of sugar, to deliver a not-too-sweet, not-too-sour sparkling beverage. … I’m old enough to remember Laverne drinking milk and Pepsi, and I tried it, but I think there’s a reason they don’t sell carbonated milk. … I’m willing to say that if this were sold in clear bottles instead of opaque cans, they’d have a tougher time finding customers.

Our friends at Grist.org posted a video that is perfect for today (Valentine’s Day). It’s kind of dirty, so if you are not into that type of thing, you may not want to click play.
