I have recently been referred to as that girl who always has her own bag. I have definitely been referred to as worse. My reusable bag collection has continued to grow this year. The newest addition is from The Great Bag Company. The moment I saw this bag I was actually excited. Sounds kind of lame, but really this bag is gorgeous! I have used it everyday for the past week for all my shopping needs.

Being a sewer I can appreciate the time and care that was taken to create this handmade bag. The handles are cross-stitched and reinforced with cotton twill tape. It is extremely durable and can hold up to 40 pounds. Besides the attractive design, these bags have loops that hook onto the bag holder in the store. I have yet to use this feature, but have never seen another bag that offers this bonus. This bag folds nicely for storage, and the handle is the perfect length for me to carry comfortably over my shoulder.
Great Bags are available in six modern styles along with two patriotic designs. My friends are actually jealous of my attractive bag. You will be too.

Made from organic cotton, bamboo and a drop of polyester, these sweatpants from HTnatural are the best sweatpants ever. They are comfortable, warm, soft, have pockets and a drawstring. They look good on my girlfriend too. I love them, especially because they are tagless. They rule!

Rock these sweatpants and the L King Hoodie, throw back some organic beer and you are all set for a lovely evening of relaxation.

Although it was not quite what I was expecting, I do love new t-shirts. I have designed some green shirts for my website which are sold through CafePress, however, I was glad to see another company selling clever and well designed shirts.

Ban T-Shirts sells shirts designed for different topics like politics, organics, peace and Native Americans. The shirt I am reviewing is the Think Green shirt. At first look you see a deep dark green screen printing of a half tree half brain at a nice size across the chest. Ban T-Shirts uses American Apparel brand for this shirt which means high quality and made in the US of A in sweatshop free factories.
I never wear new clothing without washing it, so I waited until I needed to do my laundry and am currently wearing my freshly cleaned shirt. One wash and the shirt, size large, now fits perfectly.

My grudge with this shirt is the actual screen printing. They do not use inks that hold up in the wash. The texture in the screen printing is gone and the green is flaking already. You can tell that a few more washes and this off white shirt with green ink will become an undershirt due to color fade.
Ban T-Shirts may have nice designs, but they should find a new screen printer.
**POSITIVE NOTE** There model for this shirt is definitely cuter than I am

In Honor of Black History Month…

Inspirational, sweatshop-free and organic are not usually phrases that are used in conjunction. In this case, the L King Hoodie from Oom is a trendy, slim fitting and unconventional item. The hoodie has a high collar and zips all the way up. The dark grey threads break up the black organic cotton hoodie with some stylish accents.

The cotton is soft and dark black. Inside the hood are inspirational words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I really love this sweatshirt and I actually wore it every day on my trip to Italy. It kept me warm under the Roman and Tuscan sun.
You can purchase it online from Green Is Black or if you live in Canada, stop by the store and try it before you buy it. Tell Kerry that Leafygreen.info sent ya.
