Pangea Organics Radiance Gift Set

pangea organics reviewI’ve only heard this company by word of mouth, all great things though. So I was very excited to try it for myself and was lucky to receive this Radiance Gift Set.  This set included several different products, including Facial Cleanser, Facial Scrub, Facial Mask, Lip Balm and a newly released Eye Cream.

I have been using the Facial Cleanser and Facial Scrub together for about a month.  I have great results and they have now become my daily cleanser keeping my skin clean and clear once my skin becomes adjusted to the Adzuki bean, blood orange, and Egyptian Calendula.  Both the Facial Cleanser and Facial Scrub have a very strong fragrance at first, but enjoyable because you know they aren’t chemicals.  I easily got used to the smell and grew to enjoy it.  The only down side is that these can be considered a bit expensive at $28 & $32 respectively.  Yet how soft they leave my skin feeling, they most certainly are worth it because I know all the natural ingredients will not harm my skin further.

I am definitely a person who is constantly applying Chapstick, so I was happy to try another type of lip balm.  I was extremely happy with this lip balm from Pangea Organics.  I could actually feel the lip balm moisturizing my lips, not just sitting on top of my lips as other lip balms have.  I really enjoy this lip balm especially during the winter months, providing powerful healing properties, with rich vitamins, nutrients and essential fatty acids.  It has quickly healed my chapped winter lips, with no ill side effects.

Pangea Organics Eye Cream is the first eye cream I have ever tried.  I must say I am very pleased with it by the way that it brightened up my eyes.  When first applying the cream it seemed to start drying while tightening the skin where applied, but in a nice way.  I had some puffy circles under my eyes when I woke up, but once using this cream, it definitely helped to minimize them for the rest of the day.  Since I didn’t know what to expect from an eye cream I was very happy with what my results were, with the pleasant smell of nourishing Turkish Rose and anti-inflammatory White Tea.  The only problem I had was the tube of cream didn’t specify how often to apply it.  But perhaps it is as often as I would like.

On occasion I use facial masks, but I feel that using a facial scrub and cleanser work just as well for a great clean and exfoliation.  The facial mask included in this set has Japanese Matcha Tea, Acai and Goji Berry.  All of these heavily scented ingredients combined certainly made for an interesting smell.  It was very comparable to the same smell of Vicks Vapor Rub, not something I wanted to be reminded of when I’m not sick.  Like most other Pangea Organics products it has a very strong smell at first and then you get used to it.  The smell wasn’t as intense once it was on my face, perhaps I was use to it by then.

Oddly there were no directions on the container, so I had to check their website to check how long to keep it on for, 10-20 minutes I found out.  I was pleased with the grit of the mask that made it seem as though it was working even more at scrubbing.  I’m happy that it helped to exfoliate, but I would not go out of my way to use a facial mask instead of a facial scrub and cleanser.  Try this if you would prefer an added cleanser to your usual regimen.  It is just unlikely that I will be in the future.

The best eco-friendly benefit to this gift set is the gift box.  It is made from a zero-waste process using 100% post-consumer newsprint & no glues or dyes.  It also is 100% compostable, biodegradable and plantable.  Of which I certainly plan to put it in the compost pile and hope it breaks down like expected.  Even the outer label is made from 100% post-consumer, fsc-certified paper and vegetable based inks.  I think that is really great of the company to take charge and complete the circle of being eco-friendly by having bio degradable packaging.

I’m glad they care how their packaging impacts the environment.  Because Pangea Organics cares so much about sustainable living, 5% of the net profits go towards helping to build the Pangea Institute.  Which is a non-profit organization dedicating efforts to researching & teaching all aspects of sustainable living & business practices.  All of these things make Pangea Organics a great company with great natural products.
