Twice Baked Recycled Wool Mittens Review

On August 4, 2008 you read the review of the Northland Woolens Twice Baked Hat which kept my shaved head nice and toasty. Keeping up with the recycled wool, Northland Woolens has a product called Twice Baked Recycled Wool Mittens. Like the hat, the mittens take some getting used to aesthetically but keep your hands nice and toasty. After trying them out for myself I handed them off to my girlfriend Melissa’s little brother who loves wearing clothing that says HEY! If you know what I mean. This is what Dave had to say:

These wool mittens got warm very quickly and stayed warm even after taking them off for a minute or two. The inside lining is a little loose and folds up sometimes, making it kind of uncomfortable. If you need to grip something, do not depend on these mittens, but really, when they are on correctly…very very comfortable. Good styling too.

If you are a mittens fan then these are available for $32 straight from Northland Woolens

I had the great pleasure to wear Northland Woolens extremely warm, soft and comfortable Arctic Clipper socks. Made of 80% Merino Wool, 15% Angora Wool, and 5% Nylon these are so soft that I could wear them every day. Being that I’m sick right now and wearing these socks says something big. My feet were freezing all day and Melissa had the genius idea of me putting socks on (who knew) and as I’m about to put on regular white socks I thought about these Arctic Clippers. Now my feet are warm and I’m very comfortable.

Northland Woolens sells these babies on their site for $19 a pair. Try them out, go for a hike, a bike ride, walk in the snow. They will do their job!
