The Andean Collection Acai Wrap Bracelet

When it comes to socially conscious fashion, you can’t do much better than the Andean Collection bracelets.

This company is amazing. Not only do they give isolate, impoverished artists fair wages and a share of company profits (every artist is a partial owner), but they also use natural materials that would just go to waste. Every piece of jewelry is green and made with a conscious.

And, they don’t just keep an eye on the artists that make the jewelry. They make sure that everyone on their supply chain is paid a fair wage.

In remote countries like Ecuador, where they’re normally paid a pittance, this is a huge improvement in their living conditions.

With such socially responsible company, you could bet I was excited to see the actual product. And the bracelet I got for the review was fabulous.

It was a very colorful wrap bracelet made from acai seeds.  The colors go with pretty much anything, and I’ve worn it everyday since I got it.

And the woman who actually made it?

Her name is Nancy Moran. She is married, with three children, and lives in Iluman, Ecuador.

Her picture is on the Andean Collection website.

It’s not often I get to see the actual person who makes the things I wear everyday. But it was incredible to look at this great bracelet, and actually get to see the artist who made it thousands of miles away.

I was heartily impressed with how committed the Andean Collection is to make sure they’re not only selling a great product, but that they’re also trying to lift up local communities along the way.  Shopping at caring companies like this is a great way to make sure you’re doing good and getting good in return.
