I have always loved the scent of mint. It’s probably because when I was a little girl, my mother used to plant mint in the backyard. After I was done running around playing, I always used to break off a spring and smell it. So naturally when I was asked to review LifeTree Botanicals Smooth Peppermint Natural Soap, I was more than happy to do so.
I have been washing my hands with this soap all week, and my skin has been soft and smooth, never dry. The soap smells faintly of a stick of peppermint gum, but it is not pungent or overpowering. Also, I can pronounce all the natural ingredients, which are simply: water; olive, palm and coconut oils; dried mint leaves; and peppermint essential oil. There are no strange or harsh chemicals, and all the soaps are free of animal products.

If you visit lifetree-botanicals.com, you will find a company, run by Elizabeth Cappuccio, whose tagline is: Handmade soap is one of the worlds most natural luxuries. You will also notice a variety of other scents you can purchase individually or in a gift basket. These small soaps are also commonly used at favors at weddings and showers, which is a really cute idea.
These lovely little squares of clean will make you happy. I’d love to try more, especially the lavender oats soap! I highly recommend them.

Straight from a Brazilian cargo truck, this hat is the real deal! It’s made from reclaimed fabric from tarps on trucks. No two hats are the same and you may be lucky enough to get one with Portuguese writing or printing on it! You can design your own by choosing from simple options.

In terms of the fit, I do not have a big head and the medium hat fit me snugly, but tight enough that the fierce wind did not blow it away walking out of the Atlantic City Beer Fest. The hat did get some attention and questions from random strangers. After explaining what Real Deal Brazil was about, they were even more impressed.

I have never worn a cowboy-styled hat before however I have always wanted to. I am glad that I did. It’s really cool and supports free trade and the new trend of using reclaimed materials to create new products.
My girlfriend thought it was cute and we took such a cute picture with me rocking it. What do you think? Better than my old Hot Water Music hat? There’s also some pictures of Ed wearing the hat The Nets game the other day.

Smooth and silky, the Milk and Honey Soap from US Wellness, applies nicely and doesn’t leave a residue. Local, grass-fed, cattle provide the milk and Wisconsin wild bees provide the honey.

My grandmother never made soap, but if she did, it may have been like this.

My previously positive experiences I had with Late July made me beyond excited to try their new limited edition, hand dipped cookies.
This time, for the holidays, Late July not only left me happy, but they left me craving more and more of this sweet, chocolate and mint delight.

The vanilla bean & green tea cookies are even better when dipped in organic chocolate and topped with crumbled peppermint bark or white chocolate.
Seriously, this was an amazing dessert and a nice start to a great weekend. They can be ordered online only.
