    Couronne Recycled Glass Products

Think about all the vases lying around each year from the flowers you send to your mother, girlfriend or secretary. There is probably tons of glass lying around doing nothing, so why not recycle it or purchase some recycled glass?

Couronne designs glassware, plates, jars and candle holders out of recycled glass. It’s not only eco-fabulous, but it saves the virgin sand, ash and limestone from being mined.

I have a few of these products at home. Two are small containers that are good for storing pencils or pens in a conveient spot in my kitchen. I suppose I could put small flowers in the vase, but the pens work for me. The larger, green vase, is not too flowery looking but hey, it’s a vase, so it is supposed to hold flowers.

It does it’s job well and the green color reminds me of beer bottles. Check them out at Couronne’s website.

    Newman-O’s

Newman’s Own Organics repackaged their line of Newman-O’s in two sizes and added some flavors. Good new for all you O fans. They are delicious! The Ginger O’s were my favorite. They are spicy and creamy, and filled with gingery goodness. Dunking an O in soymilk or hot chocolate makes this treat complete.

The Mint Crème is wonderful as well. It’s got the right balance of mint and chocolate leaving me satisfied with every last bite. The original is no joke either, but pretty plain.

I will be reviewing the Wheat and Dairy Free Newman-O’s very soon so check back shortly, in the meantime, pick up a package of Newman’s organic line of O’s.

    Orlio Seasonal IPA

Orlio, which is now part of the Magic Hat group, is an organic craft beer. Last year, we reviewed the Common Ale and the Black Lager, however this year, we get to try the Seasonal India Pale Ale.

    orlio review leafygreen

It’s a straight-forward, East Coast IPA with it’s hoppiness and subtle fruity flavor. It’s actually a decent, drinkable beer especially if you are a hop head, like myself. I’d prefer more hops, but that’s just my love of the hops.

Find the Orlio Seasonal IPA while it lasts.

    Barrier Reef from australian Scent

Barrier Reef soap from australian Scent (aS) comes packaged in what seems to be a recycled cardboard box. The scent smells like the ocean.  The main ingredients are seaweed, green tea & lemon balm but there is much more that makes up this wonderful aroma.  When applied to the skin the soap lathered up and became foamy which is a sign of a good soap.  aS says to store this on their loofahs or free draining racks but without having one of those two I had to use what I had.

In my shower I have a tiled soap rack which does not drain.  Needless to say this soap made quite a messy situation. Although it is a fantastic smelling mess to wake up to, it is quite annoying to clean.  The bar has small pieces of various ingredients that exfoliate the skin as it’s used.  Although it makes me feel clean and smell nice it does dry out the skin a little making need for moisturizer. I would recommend this soap for people who have sensitive skin and want an eco friendly all natural soap.

    My Time to Wake Up

My Time to Wake Up is a simple clothing company with a simple and bold statement. Time To Wake Up. Wake up and try to help the world. The black organic cotton shirt fits nicely but it’s not as soft as other brands I usually wear. The shirts are Anvil Brand Organic Cotton, a very large shirt manufacturer, but maybe in the future My Time to Wake Up will have their own line.

    time to wake up review

They do have bamboo shirts available now and we’ll be reviewing them shortly. The logo is simple and makes sense. The back neck area sports the IUTU which stands for It’s Up To Us. Another good slogan that I’m proud to wear.

I’ll be reviewing the bamboo shirts in the future, so stay tuned and check My Time To Wake Up!
