I really like the Xtrema skillet. I’ve been using it regularly and it works really well, so I was excited to try the teapot. It starts to boil in just a few minutes, which is due to the nature of the ceramic. The problem is, regardless of the amount of water you put into the teapot, it boils over. The teapot does not whistle, so you really have to watch the water boil which isn’t too fun.
The remaining water in the pot stays hot after you pour your cup for tea, well if it hasn’t boiled over.

I am still using the teapot, but I know how it works, so be warned. The company’s website is finally live with links to their retailers both online and in-store.
We will also be reviewing a pot from Ceramcor in the near future, so check back soon.

Cleaning products from method are simple, effective and modern in their branding and eco-packaging. Do they work though? I’m no chemist, but the Go Naked line seems to clean just as well as method’s other lines that we have tested in the past.
Some people have severe allergies when it comes to scents. Method developed this formula for you guys. The clear, odorless, green dish soap and all surface cleaner work really well.

The soap cleans the dishes nicely and the surface cleaner sprays as intended. If you like sans-serif fonts, modern packaging and a decently priced company with no odors, check out method’s naked line.

It’s easy to use chemicals to make cleaning products because it is cheaper and easier, but not the best solution for not only the planet but your body as well. Ecover makes individual, plant-based, dishwashing tablets. These little guys pack a punch and impact aquatic life minimally with its 100% biodegradability.

I’ve used these for over a few weeks now and they clean just as well as the big name brands but without the harsh chemicals. Bonus feature is that Ecover does not test on animals. Fred liked their soap and we’ll have more reviews soon, hopefully, so go visit Ecover’s for store locations and more information.

When the cold weather turns into sunny, warm days, there is really nothing better than sitting down on the balcony sipping an ice cold beer from an ice cold glass. Not all glasses need to be made of glass, however. From the makers of The Chillster, Stop Global Beer Warming created a Chillster pint glass made from PET (recycled plastic) that actually contains the same proprietary ice crystals that The Chillster does but inside the base of the pint glass.

The glass is designed to keep your beer cooler longer and it works. I sat outside on the balcony sipping my Garde Dog, Flying Dog’s Spring/Summer Seasonal Farmhouse Ale, and boy was I content. The beer is very light, summery with a hint of spice and fruit. I then followed the Garde Dog with Flying Dog’s Winter Ale also known as The K-9 Cruiser. This beer warmed me right up with it’s dark body and malty taste.
Flying Dog is one of the pioneers of beer innovation with both web-based ideas such as The Open Source Project, blogs and microblogs as well as being cruelty-free and eco-friendly. Their mash is given to local farms for bedding, for instance.
Flying Dog knows beer and this is a spring/summer hit! So, let’s try to stop Beer Warming by purchasing these shatterproof, dishwasher safe, non-toxic, pint glasses. A portion of the proceeds goes to The Alliance for Climate Protection so you are doing a good thing for the Earth and the beer.
Now, the team at Stop Beer Warming/The Chillster provided a coupon code for all you lucky beer drinkers out there. Use coupon code leafygreen for a free pint glass. Buy 3 Chillster Pints and get the 4th FREE! Add 4 individual pints to your cart and use the Coupon Code: Leafygreen and the fourth will be free.
They also have shirts too with the same logo that adorn the glass. They are fun and green!

Cloud Star Tender Jerky Strips were a product I received at the Green Expo last month. They boast, select first-quality cuts of beef, chicken, or pork that are lightly seasoned then slow baked to seal in all of the natural flavors. The treats are naturally high in protein, grain free and have no byproducts. As their website says, the treats are irresistable to dogs! My dog cannot get enough of these things. I only give them to her to reward her for something well done and she’s been a good dog lately. Many times jerky is filled with unhealthy preservatives and can even pose a choking hazard for dogs. However, these are easy to chew and digest and I have never seen her respond so well to jerky strips before. So much, she jumps like a monkey when I open up our sugar, which comes in similar packaging. It’s pretty neat to watch. She’s a picky dog and won’t just eat any treat, so I’m really happy to have found these great treats for her.

In addition, Cloud Star has been a green company since, 1999 and a member of 1% for the planet, which are companies that donate 1% of the net sales to environmental organizations every year. Their packaging is also made of recycled materials and use soy based inks.
This is by far the best green – dish soap I’ve ever used. Compared to the limited options that are our there, it held up with non-green products. However, for it’s might in the cleaning category, it’s still completely biodegradable, has a minimal impact on aquatic life . It cleans great and really lathers up with bubbles well, which was my biggest problem with other green soap products. It also leaves no residue on your dishes and is kind to your hands with it’s plant based ingredients, aloe and vera in this case.

I really liked this product a lot and would recommend it not only to people going green, but people with sensitivities to chemicals. It cleans really well and is completely biodegradable.

SIGG is committed to not only the environment, but also to the people who live in it. Companies such as SIGG have been around 100 years and have stood the test of time. Their commitment is the secret. SIGG backs their products, they do not use pollutants or toxins, and they make a truly great product.

Anyone can purchase a water bottle, but SIGG bottles have been engineered to withstand the abuse of time. One customer, according to SIGG’s website, has had his bottle 20 years. That is unheard of for an average water bottle.
Throwing away or recycling water bottles is a waste, so why not purchase a 1 liter bottle and just refill it?
SIGG has some interesting facts and questions on their site. They state that you may put booze into the SIGG bottle, but drink it quick because of the temperature.
SIGG does stay cool longer than conventional bottles and it is much lighter too. I’ve dropped it a few times already (whoops) and it’s still keeping its shape.
I can go on and on, but I think you get the point. Try one; you’ll never go back!

Amy’s Tortilla Casserole with Black Beans
I thought the Tortilla Casserole was going to taste like the Mexican Lasagna from Park and Orchard. Not even close. I actually did not like this at all. The tortilla chips did not microwave well, and the beans didn’t taste good either. It is overall a bad product. Maybe that is why I can’t seem to find out any information about it on Amy’s website.
Maybe they pulled it off their active line. Amy does have new products out like oatmeal and low sodium meals. Hope we can try those soon.
Amy’s Indian Samosa Wraps

These are the best samosas I have ever had and I’ll tell you why. These aren’t purely a carb product anymore. They are not greasy and have tofu in the mix as well. Samosas are my favorite Indian appetizer, but usually it is so heavy and not worth ordering. Amy makes these small wraps that cook up nicely and taste very authentic. The vegan spices are well balanced.
These wraps are high in sodium, decent fiber content and a good protein source. Great for lunch or dinner, Amy has another hit!

I am a big fan of belts and I always struggle to find fun, vegan belts. Zero Per Gallon makes it easy to not only have a fun vegan belt, but have one with a message that
