Newman’s Own Organics repackaged their line of Newman-O’s in two sizes and added some flavors. Good new for all you O fans. They are delicious! The Ginger O’s were my favorite. They are spicy and creamy, and filled with gingery goodness. Dunking an O in soymilk or hot chocolate makes this treat complete.

The Mint Crème is wonderful as well. It’s got the right balance of mint and chocolate leaving me satisfied with every last bite. The original is no joke either, but pretty plain.
I will be reviewing the Wheat and Dairy Free Newman-O’s very soon so check back shortly, in the meantime, pick up a package of Newman’s organic line of O’s.

Wholly Wholesome, another New Jersey based company, produces natural baked foods such as cakes, cookies and pies and below you will see what I think of them. I tried the Harvest Berry Whole Grain Crumble Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookies and the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies too.

The Harvest Berry Cake is packed with nutritious grains, juicy cranberries, raspberries and yummy blueberries. Combined with the berries, the healthy grains just seem to match in harmony. The cake is crumbly, moist and baked fresh, so you better eat it soon. Never have I enjoyed such a healthy cake, especially one that contains spelt, flax seeds and wheat germ.
I figured if the Harvest Berry Cake was so good, the Chocolate Chip Cookies could not be that bad and I was correct. The cookies are not large like traditional store-bought cookies, in fact, they are small, but packed full of chocolate chips that do not disappoint. They are also made with unbleached, unbromated wheat flour and other healthy ingredients. I liked them and I know someone else who agrees.

The Oatmeal Raisin Cookies were the last on the list and they did not disappoint me either, but they did not compare to the chocolate chip, and oatmeal can’t really compete, in my opinion. The same size cookies with tons of raisins will quench your thirst for
nature’s candy.
You can purchase Wholly Wholesome products at Whole Foods, Kings and your local health food stores too. Just check out this graphic below, in case you see the new packaging, since it’s changing soon.

My previously positive experiences I had with Late July made me beyond excited to try their new limited edition, hand dipped cookies.
This time, for the holidays, Late July not only left me happy, but they left me craving more and more of this sweet, chocolate and mint delight.

The vanilla bean & green tea cookies are even better when dipped in organic chocolate and topped with crumbled peppermint bark or white chocolate.
Seriously, this was an amazing dessert and a nice start to a great weekend. They can be ordered online only.
