Fair Trade Sports is a unique and new company who are going after socially and environmentally conscience athletes. They sell Fair Trade sporting equipment such as soccer balls, footballs, Frisbees, volleyballs and apparel.
Though I personally am not into sports my friends are and I’m sure the bright orange soccer ball is going to get some good use soon. In the meantime here’s a little history and information about Fair Trade Sports.

All of the products are produced by Fair Trade labor, in sweatshop free factories with healthy working conditions for the adult laborers. The company is planning on donating all of their profits to children charities. It’s very similar to what Newman’s Own does. You can find more information here.
Fair Trade Sports also used WordPress as its CMS, so they get a bigger plug from us here at Leafygreen.info.
In the meantime, check out FairTradeSports.com and read about the environmental impact, their online store (aka Gear Shop), and their rude FAQs and more.
Stay tuned for full hands on review. Maybe David Beckham will stop by and kick the ball around for a while. Ya never know.
