Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Night Cream
Finding a natural and effective night cream can be a challenge, so I was eager to review Sibu Beauty’s new one. According to the Sibu Beauty website, their Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Night Cream witll «Enhance your skin’s nightly natural repair process with this advanced all-natural renewal formula” and you will “wake up with intensely hydrated and replenished skin.” I found the reality of this product to be quite different than the claims made.
Normally, night creams tend to be a bit heavy to provide intense moisture to the skin. Although I liked the lightness of the cream, it left much to be desired in the moisture department. When I first applied it to my face, it felt almost too oily. However, my skin soon felt dry and it kind of irritated my skin. Per the ingredients list, there is a lot of alcohol in it and I think this is what my skin was reacting to. When I woke up in the morning, my face felt a bit dried out. This night cream might be better suited for those who have very oily skin but for those with combination, average, or dry skin, I found it to be too dry and lacking hydrating qualities.
The company uses Sea Buckthorn berries as a key ingredient in their formula, which are a “naturally sustainable resource” that grow wild in Tibet. Sibu pledges to run a responsible business, respecting both the people of Tibet and the planet. Although I love this aspect of the company, I would not recommend this night cream if you are looking for a hydrating, soothing one. With such a long list of ingredients, I’m not sure if this product is natural enough for me either.
