Alexia Foods are created by Manhattan Chef Alex Dzieduszycki in his Greenpoint kitchen. Alexia offers all natural and organic frozen foods and gourmet side dishes. Chef Alex created Alexia with the idea of hand selecting finest ingredients and only making small batches at first. He always uses real ingredients, putting quality and taste at the forefront. Alexia has a wide variety of side dishes including baked appetizers, artisan breads, fries, sweet and white potatoes and potato/vegetable side dishes. With so many choices within each category it’s hard to know what to pick. That’s why I’m here to help and tell you about my experience with Alexia All Natural Oven Reds.
If you are looking for convenience, it is all here! Simply open the bag, place potatoes on a cookie sheet and bake, stirring halfway. Sure you could get that same convenience from other food brands, but Alexia makes sure to use the best of ingredients, with zero grams of trans-fat in this culinary creation.
Say you want to make cooking even easier. Simply add these potatoes to your pan with a chicken or roast, creating less clean up by using just one pan. The potatoes will absorb the meaty flavor and be ready in no time.
The Oven Reds took all the prep work out of creating the dish by hand and already selected the best creamy Columbia Basin potatoes for me to use. It is easy to see the flavoring on the potatoes, with olive oil, Parmesan cheese and roasted garlic flavor. However that wasn’t exactly the taste that came through boldly enough when I enjoyed them. That’s not to say they weren’t a delicious addition to my meal, because they certainly were. The flavoring was just very subtle to me and that is fine, perhaps I had too high expectations of flavored potatoes.
Regardless I think these are a great product, with ingredients that I completely recognized and normally would choose to eat. Quality food truly begins at Alexia! I’ll be reviewing Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries soon, so check back to find out about those.
