Food for Life-Organic Sprouted Ezekiel 4:9 Flax Bread

Bread that is thick and dense always seems to be the most filling to me. That is certainly one of the qualities that I look for when choosing bread high in nutrition. Ezekiel 4:9 Flax bread from Food for Life has many filling ingredients such as wheat, barley, millet, lentils, soybeans and spelt. Many of these grains I wouldn’t normally eat alone, but they combine very well together to create a hearty bread.

Unlike many other breads Ezekiel uses freshly sprouted certified organic live grains and no flour or genetically modified organisms (GMO’s), something that you wouldn’t find in regular breads.

When using the bread for sandwiches, I preferred it best toasted. I wouldn’t like it as much untoasted though it has a great taste. I happily enjoyed this just as I do my regular whole wheat bread.

Even the name helps to lead to its ingredients taken from the Bible verse Ezekiel 4:9 “taken also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils and millet, and spelt and put them into one vessel…” In addition to all of these fantastic grains the edges of my bread were coated with Flax seeds, something to add a bit of crunch. In addition to this slice being only 80 calories, this organic sprouted grain bread helped to keep me full for a very long afternoon, which is always the best bonus of all. Food for Life also has organic sprouted whole grain buns, cereals, english muffins, pasta, pocket breads and tortillas to name a few, you can see all their products here.
