Dalhgren Multi-Sport Compression Socks

Dalhgren socks aren’t just for looking stylish but can be considered a great eco-friendly holiday stocking stuffer. These can certainly be an upgrade from the 12-pack of white tube socks you get from your Great Aunt Myrtle every holiday season. These are fashionable and eco-friendly, multi-sport compression socks made from renewable sources such as alpaca and merino-wool instead of cotton, which can be less cost efficient than alpaca to produce.

Compression socks are better known from hospital patients who have restricted movement for long periods of time. But more recently they have been thought of in the sport community to help aid muscle recovery, mainly with long distance runners.
My experience with these socks have been my first with compression socks as well. I happily wore them on a few runs instead of usual sport socks. These were much more smooth than my usual socks as I could feel my socks/feet sliding around more than they usually would even with my sneakers tied tighter than usual. This likely was because of their cashmere-like socks which have less grip than cotton socks.

I did enjoy the features that were woven into the sock to wick away moisture, this comes from their patented Dri-Stride Technology. This is something that really shined through for me, my feet were dry my entire 3 mile run. Since I’ve never favored socks that come above my calves these were something to get used to for me. Those who are used to compression socks will likely enjoy the snug fit of them overall, in the foot and calf. Though in the calf they were possibly too tight as my legs were left with the imprint of the weave of the sock after an extended period of time of wear. However, because of these socks I didn’t have any muscle soreness after my run, perhaps the socks truly did aid in muscle recovery.
