ecoSMART insect repellent
We are getting used to having ants walk across our kitchen sink. We have tried many different things to rid our house of ants without using harmful chemicals. I really don’t want to kill the ants and possibly poison my family at the same time.

I was excited to get the EcoSMART line. I used it immediately and poof, the ants were dead… but there was a trail of dead ants and Ant/Roach killer spray to clean up. It smells minty or icy hot-ish. What I want is to keep the ants away. EcoSMART doesn’t keep them away but it does get rid of them and in an non-harmful way to kids and pets. I like this product and the great way they explain how their products work. I will spray our “little friends” from now on and hope that the message gets back to the ant hill that our kitchen is no place for ants.

EcoSMART has a whole line worth checking out that includes an insect repellant for kids.

The EcoSMART products are made from organic plant oils and kill insects naturally and now you can test them out for yourselves. Five random winner will receive some samples of your own from EcoSMART. The rules are below, so read on.

1) You must click over to this link to read an article called Organic Insect Repellent by EcoSMART.
2) You must either follow us on twitter.
3) You must subscribe to our RSS/Email Feeds.

We’ve got an ant problem, right outside the house and at our mailbox, I would like an organic product to deal with this.

When we moved to MS from CA I quickly found out what happens when I am bitten by an ant. I had a blow out once and had to stand outside of my car and wait for help to arrive, an ant had bit me twice and I broke out into hives all over my body. This never happened to me in CA when bitten by ants! We have ant problems at our home and we are always getting bit. I have to keep benedryl in the house for when it happens. We also have a terrible infestation of mosquitos in the south as well as fleas and ticks! It's the price you pay for living in a rural area but, it's great here.

I love the article, organic sounds like a great and safe product to use on my family. Thank you for the giveaway.

I'm already following you on Twitter, yay!

Let me tell you, I need some organic insect repellent that actually works. I travel to Costa Rica a lot and as you might know the mosquitoes there are a bit worse than here. I have to wear repellent each night to bed because the windows don't close. I hate using DEET because it's a known carcinogen and it also breaks out my sensitive skin. This stuff would be awesome if it does what it says it does.

shawna May 7, 2009 at 9:10 am

I’m all for EcoSmart’s organic insecticides and the multitude of other companies that are (finally) manufacturing products that are safer for the environment and it’s inhabitants. :)

Michelle May 7, 2009 at 10:08 pm

These sound like such a safer alternative for our family. My daughter has Asthma and we have to be careful what chemicals we use on around her so these would be perfect for help and let her enjoy more time outdoors!
Thanks!
