Clark’s Ultra Rich Lip Balm and Davines Authentic Nourishing Oil

There’s no question that as I get older I’m more and more concerned about my skin and the aging process. I don’t really have a regular routine as far as my skincare is concerned. I wash my face and moisturize it, but that’s about it. When I was offered the opportunity to try a couple of products from the Clark’s Botanical and Davine’s line of products I was definitely interested. The first was the Ultra Rich Lip Balm from Clark’s Botanicals. Simply put, I love the stuff. It’s not at all pasty like some lip balms can be, but it actually does a wonderful job at keeping my lips feeling soft and hydrated. I should say that I’m a bit of lip balm addict. I carry one with me everywhere I go and apply it regularly. With ingredients like shea butter, jojoba and sweet almond oil, the Clark’s lip balm is healthy and natural, which is a huge priority for me as well. Oh, and I should mention the taste. Now when I was a teenager I strictly bought my lip balms according to their flavor. As an adult with at least a bit more maturity, my priority is more along the line of how the lip balm makes my lips feel while being safe and as natural or organic as possible. Oh my gosh the Clark’s Botanicals lip balm is, well, delicious thanks to vanilla planifolia and jasmine extracts. The problem with this is that it’s so tempting to want to lick your lips all day long, which I’m sure is what they were hoping for so you’d need to apply and re-apply, hence needing to purchase it over and over again. I’ve been enjoying it very sparingly while appreciating and enjoying all the benefits.

The other product I was introduced to was the Authentic Nourishing Oil from Davines. I have to say this has been such a treat for my skin. I’ve been applying it to my face and neck and sometimes to the ends of my hair and I love the look and feel of my skin. With the primary ingredient of organic carthame oil, which is more known as safflower oil, this oil feels absolutely luxurious with a soothing scent created from 100% natural essences (as stated on their website). I do not like strong perfume (usually fake) scents anywhere on my body so this is a definite plus for me as I’ve been enjoying it on a daily basis. Also according to their site the oil performs a protective anti-oxidizing action on your face and body. I don’t need to tell you how important that benefit is to our skin, especially as we age.

I have found this oil leaves my skin feeling lovely with a slight glow without feeling greasy. I should also mention that I’m a redhead with fair and pretty sensitive skin and I saw so adverse reaction to the Davines Authentic Nourishing Oil. It certainly leaves me wanting more products from this incredible collection.
