The Soda-Club, as I reviewed previously, is a unique way of making your own soda at home. It’s cheaper, healthier and more eco-friendly.
For this review, I decided to try the Lemon Lime flavor. Unlike the mainstream soda companies, the blend of lemon and lime is much lighter and less citrusy. I enjoyed the soda, it went down smoothly and no bad aftertaste.

Overall, the Lemon Lime Soda-Club flavor is a nice alternative to drinking store bought soda, unlike the Mango Peach.

The Mango Peach seems to be discontinued from the site and it’s probably because it tastes bad. Soda Club does have new flavors and some all-natural, sugar-free mixes too.

Why spend money on cleaning products for your fruits and vegetables when you can just use tap water? The lotus Sanitizing System from Tersano makes this dream come to fruition. This countertop appliance resembles a large bowl and uses technology to oxygenate water. The Oxyshield technology uses ordinary tap water and allows you to effectively clean fruits and vegetables and even your countertops!
To find out more about lotus, check their website for all the details.
Oxyshield adds ozone to water thus creating a highly effective and environmentally safe cleaning product. The system that I am using contains a spray bottle for a few items or a large bowl for multiple items. It also contains refill cartridges and micro fiber cloths. Tersano also sells other parts such as toothbrushes and baby bottle cleaners.

I’ve been using the lotus sanitizing system for a few months and I have to admit, my produce is cleaner than it was just by using basic soap and water or vegetable wash. The best part is, NO chemicals are added to the produce.
The system takes a few minutes to oxygenate the water, but there is a handy percent counter to help you pass the time. I like how clean the produce not only looks but feels after the initial washing. Maybe it’s my imagination, but my produce looks cleaner and brighter then it did at the store.
You can purchase lotus systems online as well as retailers such as Linens n Things, Bed, Bath and Beyond and Costco.
Check it out on the web and see what other people think, but get it now before it sells out because it’s a great product!

Replacing light bulbs are the easiest thing you can do to go green. CFLs are available everywhere, but have you ever wanted to replace your halogens?
Lamina is making it easy to change your bulbs. Lamina’s proprietary technology combines LED bulbs in a halogen form factor. The brightness of the bulbs, the energy saved and the lack of heat are just three of the benefits to choosing Lamina Sol bulbs.

I am not currently using the bulbs in a fixture, rather, in a test socket. I have tested all three Sol models. The Warm White (Narrow Flood), Daylight White (Narrow Flood) and TruColor (Wide Flood) and I have to say, they all compare in brightness to other bulbs of this form factor.
I have tested the bulbs in different rooms in my condo, for mood lighting or while I am getting ready for work in the morning. I like the bulbs and they would work really well in track lighting or to accent your wall art.
Currently, the Lamina Sol light bulbs have found a home over my bed. The Wide Flood TruColor is the bulb of choice because it’s the best to illuminate my dark room.

You can read more about Lamina’s Sol products or their other products on their website. There are some things to remember though, Lamina’s bulbs barely produce any carbon and you are going to save money in the long run. Think CFL but in a halogen form factor.

Pros: Fresh (free) Herbs
Cons:
The light is on most of the day; 16 hours.
The herbs grow too fast to consume that quickly.
The dill did not grow at all.
Uses electricity.
Herbs are decent. Nothing spectacular.

Overall, if you use fresh herbs every single day, the AeroGarden is worth having. I don’t use basil, dill, cilantro, mint, etc every single day, so it’s very difficult to keep up with the herbs when they finally start to grow. The AeroGarden requires constant light and water. The water, after the herbs are fully-grown, is drained rather quickly.
AeroGarden offers other vegetables, plants and herbs, besides the collection I’ve been testing. These herbs seem to die soon after you cut them off the plant, though the plant continues to grow so rapidly.

My last set of nutrition tablets also known as plant food will be used soon and then we’ll see how the plants hold up.

Stay tuned and in the meantime, check out the growth of the garden.

Everything is growing really well except for the chives. They grew about 1/4 of an inch, then died and have not grown back.
