Bug Bandit

Why risk possible skin inflammation or worse from insecticides and manmade chemicals such as DEET when Fairy Tales Bug Bandit offers a better option? Infused with earthy, aromatic scents such as eucalyptus, lemongrass, citronella and rosemary, Bug Bandit is a non toxic, chemical and deet free alternative with undertones of cinnamon, peppermint and cedar bark.
I heard of Fairy Tales Hair Products for children and was excited to test a brand which uses essential oils, nature’s repellents, and see how it fared on the pesky summer insects. Conventional bug sprays smell and taste horrible! I’d almost rather stay indoors than have to spray them on myself or my children. I first tried Bug Bandit at the baseball field where the mosquitoes swarm in the warm evenings late in the season. When the other parents noticed Bug Bandit they became curious and were soon were practically grabbing it out of my hand in favor of their smelly, chemical laiden brand. When they realized Bug Bandit really worked people were asking me where they could find it! Not only does it do the job, it is extremely moisturizing and smells great. I would bet it has other beneficial effects as someone who “nose” a little bit about the positive effects of aromatherapy.

When buying insect repellent the most important factor is whether or not it works! This product worked great for my son and I in areas like baseball fields, hiking trails, and just generally outside places in the summertime. I always had it in my bag. Deet is a chemical that was developed in 1947 for the Army for soldiers in bug infested jungles. As long as I’m not in the jungle or at risk for Malaria, I am a huge fan of Bug Bandit. I feel great putting it on my young children and enjoy the moisturizing aromatherapy myself…not to mention the way it repels pests! In addition, we won’t mind at all if we find it showing up in our water bodies!
