Alter Eco Quinoa

By far, this is my favorite brand of quinoa.  Alter Eco offers a ton of organic products including three types of quinoa (pronounced keen-wah).  If you’re not positive what the hell quinoa is, simply, it’s a grain that is gluten-free and loaded with protein.  You can learn more here.

With that out of the way, Alter Eco’s White Quinoa is something I use almost every week.  It’s easy to cook and takes on flavor quickly.

My favorite recipe includes cilantro, limes and lime zest along with onion, mushroom, garlic and black pepper.

I also throw in some amazing Spanish olive oil and Lindsay’s yummy Green Olives.
