Two Fizzy Lizzy Reviews

Yakima Valley Grape

Lizzy’s hips got me thirsty again. With just a few shakes this grape sparkling beverage bubbles right up. It tastes like grape soda with out the unnecessary calories. I’m getting thirsty just typing this out. It’s not organic, but it’s better than soda. There are about 120 calories though, so heads up.

Mount Fuji Apple

If you like apple juice you will love Fizzy Lizzy Mount Fuji Apple. This sparkling beverage is basically apple juice and sparkling water and I love it. I would drink this all day. It actually tastes like cider, but is much sweeter and less carbonated.

Find Fizzy Lizzy near you and grab a bottle.

    Becky Redman

I Heart the Environment. That’s obvious because I launched Leafygreen.info over a year ago with all good intentions of creating a site for the green-minded individual who wants to go greener.

Becky Redman’s unique messages are cheeky, feisty and a bit bold, but I heart her ideas. Screened on a beige canvas bag, the passive color of white lettering boldly declares Fucking Recycle printed in the classic font Helvetica inside a large block of light pink. That statement right there says it all. The bag is a statement that recycling is no joke and it should not be taken lightly. The bag is strong and sturdy and rather large too. I have brought it shopping to all types of stores. I am hesitant to use it at the grocery store for fear that it will get dirty.

    Becky Redman Fucking Recycle

The bag is quite spacious. I have managed to fit two days worth of clothes for a weekend trip and more. It’s awesome. Lala says that it’s too feminine to walk around with, so she always steals it, but I think she loves it more than me. What do you think of the bag? It’s totally masculine!

Swear words are not always the answer, but it gets the point across when you need to, so Fucking Recycle! It’s the right thing to do.

    Becky Redman Fucking Recycle

Becky hearts the environment too. She even made an awesome poster on recycled paper to prove it. As seen proudly mounted on my living room wall, I’m thrilled that someone made such an appealing poster. Becky’s poster is printed on lightweight recycled paper, but it’s in Metric sizes (A1), so be warned if you want to mount it in a frame.

The small red heart is centered on the page with the words, The Environment, on the bottom of the poster. The bold black Helvetica really exhibits the classic feel to the poster. I love the poster because it looks great, says a message and has the recycled look to it. Becky is based out of the UK, so the poster was shipped overseas and it shows, but I think that adds to the character of the poster itself.

    i heart the environment

If you don’t like either of those statements, I am sure you will be able to find something you will like. Check out Becky’s website which doubles as her online art gallery. It’s truly wonderful and eye-catching. Mr. T likes it too!

    Two from Amy’s Organic Kitchen

Amy’s Tortilla Casserole with Black Beans

I thought the Tortilla Casserole was going to taste like the Mexican Lasagna from Park and Orchard. Not even close. I actually did not like this at all. The tortilla chips did not microwave well, and the beans didn’t taste good either. It is overall a bad product. Maybe that is why I can’t seem to find out any information about it on Amy’s website.

Maybe they pulled it off their active line. Amy does have new products out like oatmeal and low sodium meals. Hope we can try those soon.

    Amy’s Indian Samosa Wraps

    amys indian somosa wraps

These are the best samosas I have ever had and I’ll tell you why. These aren’t purely a carb product anymore. They are not greasy and have tofu in the mix as well. Samosas are my favorite Indian appetizer, but usually it is so heavy and not worth ordering. Amy makes these small wraps that cook up nicely and taste very authentic. The vegan spices are well balanced.

These wraps are high in sodium, decent fiber content and a good protein source. Great for lunch or dinner, Amy has another hit!

    Green Apple Cleaners

New York’s Green Apple Cleaners has a great concept. They are a Local, eco-friendly dry cleaners with fast and convenient services. They use reusable bags and offer pickup and delivery services.

I am not in New York City, but Green Apple Cleaners has one of their large depots right near my home in Lodi, New Jersey. Check out the site for how their system works, but just some words of advice, sign up and use them, it’s totally worth it.

I stopped in to drop off two articles, an old army jacket that I bought at the Salvation Army and my Sling and Stones denim. I arrived after the store closed, but the clerk was kind enough to let me in after hours. I dropped off the two pieces and headed home.

    green apple cleaners

Three days later, I picked up the goods. Not only was it clean, it was amazing. The denim was clean and freshly pressed. They still had the same selvage stiffness that they are supposed to have and the jacket did not look like it was from 1971.

When I bought the jacket, it was missing a button on one of the cuffs, they fixed it without even asking or charging for the repair. It was wonderful. The jacket smelled brand new and fit like a charm. It was a wonderful day.

I spoke with Chris, the President of the CO2 cleaning company; he is a great guy with a great group of people working with him. They have Smart cars and use all earth friendly practices as much as possible. If you live locally in Bergen County, NJ, stop by the Lodi or the new Mahwah location. You will not be disappointed.

Tune back soon, we’re going to head into the plant and chat more with Chris and company. I have to wait until it’s time to dry clean something else!

In the meantime, check out Green Apple Cleaner’s site for tons more information.

Zero Per Gallon Bicycle Tire Belt

I am a big fan of belts and I always struggle to find fun, vegan belts. Zero Per Gallon makes it easy to not only have a fun vegan belt, but have one with a message that supports a few causes.

Zero Per Gallon recycles bicycle tires to create belts. You can purchase them with regular buckles or with Velcro. Each belt is custom made, so you can choose the color, the fastener, and the size. ZPG will make it for you and it’s goat free.

Zero Per Gallon & Nau & We Add Up

ZPG is a San Francisco based company who is planning a long haul on a boat, their profits from the ZPG products like the shirts, patches, and belts go towards that cause.

Zero Per Gallon & Nau & We Add Up

Though this belt is not my favorite of all time, it will not set off the metal detectors and is rather sturdy. I wear a 33 waist and I elected for the medium belt. It fits perfectly with certain pants but not so perfect with others. That is not a flaw with the belt because the medium belt is sized to be larger than your waist, rather something to get used to.

Zero Per Gallon & Nau & We Add Up

I really like the belt; it’s strong enough to hold up your pants and your bike lock too. The Velcro belt is sometimes hard to close depending on the position of your belt loops, but it still works. I show off my belt all the time, so all can admire it’s black beauty, but I think I need another one, this time with a buckle.

ZPG’s will appeal to bicyclists of all sorts, vegans and vegetarians, but regular people too. This post is Goat Free!
