Cloud Star Tender Jerky Strips were a product I received at the Green Expo last month. They boast, select first-quality cuts of beef, chicken, or pork that are lightly seasoned then slow baked to seal in all of the natural flavors. The treats are naturally high in protein, grain free and have no byproducts. As their website says, the treats are irresistable to dogs! My dog cannot get enough of these things. I only give them to her to reward her for something well done and she’s been a good dog lately. Many times jerky is filled with unhealthy preservatives and can even pose a choking hazard for dogs. However, these are easy to chew and digest and I have never seen her respond so well to jerky strips before. So much, she jumps like a monkey when I open up our sugar, which comes in similar packaging. It’s pretty neat to watch. She’s a picky dog and won’t just eat any treat, so I’m really happy to have found these great treats for her.

In addition, Cloud Star has been a green company since, 1999 and a member of 1% for the planet, which are companies that donate 1% of the net sales to environmental organizations every year. Their packaging is also made of recycled materials and use soy based inks.
This is by far the best green – dish soap I’ve ever used. Compared to the limited options that are our there, it held up with non-green products. However, for it’s might in the cleaning category, it’s still completely biodegradable, has a minimal impact on aquatic life . It cleans great and really lathers up with bubbles well, which was my biggest problem with other green soap products. It also leaves no residue on your dishes and is kind to your hands with it’s plant based ingredients, aloe and vera in this case.

I really liked this product a lot and would recommend it not only to people going green, but people with sensitivities to chemicals. It cleans really well and is completely biodegradable.

Soy flakes sound odd and justifiably so. These are not really meant to be eaten plain, rather used as an additive in other products. I decided to try them alone. They are very dry and plain, sort of nutty and sweet. Either way, they are low in fat and have an average amount of protein.

MicroSoy Flakes are sold to other companies for use as bulk ingredients, so don’t eat them by their lonesome. Yuck!
Anyone going to Global Green in Jersey City, NJ or to Go Green Expo in NYC? I headed to Global Green yesterday. Lots of vendors and fresh, local, organic food as well as speakers. I got to see the Gov’ner of Jersey up close and personal. That was kind of neat. Go Green will be fun, we’re heading there Sunday!
See You There!

Sounds like some sort of character from Star Wars, but it’s not, silly Jedi. Zevia contains Stevia also known as sweet leaf. It’s an herb from the rainforest. It’s a natural alternative to sugar and is gaining popularity nationwide. Legally it is not to be used as a food additive, but is approved as a dietary supplement. Companies like Coca-Cola use Stevia in their beverages outside of the USA because of the FDA regulations in America.

Zevia jumped on the bandwagon and use Stevia in their line of healthy, sugar free sodas. Zevia Cola does indeed have the distinct cola flavoring sans the unhealthy artificial ingredients. Zevia’s calorie count is under 5 per serving; thereby Zevia is a satisfactory choice for healthy soda drinkers.
I first read about Zevia from Hungry Girl and she liked it, so maybe you will too. Don’t trust our word; pick up a can for yourself.
Zevia currently has three choices, Cola, Twist (Lemon Lime) and Orange. Come on back for two more reviews. Did I mention Zevia is all gluten free and vegan?

I have always loved the scent of mint. It’s probably because when I was a little girl, my mother used to plant mint in the backyard. After I was done running around playing, I always used to break off a spring and smell it. So naturally when I was asked to review LifeTree Botanicals Smooth Peppermint Natural Soap, I was more than happy to do so.
I have been washing my hands with this soap all week, and my skin has been soft and smooth, never dry. The soap smells faintly of a stick of peppermint gum, but it is not pungent or overpowering. Also, I can pronounce all the natural ingredients, which are simply: water; olive, palm and coconut oils; dried mint leaves; and peppermint essential oil. There are no strange or harsh chemicals, and all the soaps are free of animal products.

If you visit lifetree-botanicals.com, you will find a company, run by Elizabeth Cappuccio, whose tagline is: Handmade soap is one of the worlds most natural luxuries. You will also notice a variety of other scents you can purchase individually or in a gift basket. These small soaps are also commonly used at favors at weddings and showers, which is a really cute idea.
These lovely little squares of clean will make you happy. I’d love to try more, especially the lavender oats soap! I highly recommend them.
Every dog loves a bone, but your pet will love it even more when it is an environmentally friendly Eco Bone from West Paw Design. My dog has been loving this great plush toy for weeks now.

The plush bones are created from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, IntelliLoft. This plush toy is safe for pets and made from re-engineered fibers that diverts unnecessary waste from going to your landfill, while taking six times less energy than producing fabric from virgin fibers. This helps add some heavy duty fibers that surrounds a squeaker, for an eco friendly, high quality dog toy.
Generally my dog will rip through these kinds of toys in just a few days, but this one has managed to last for some time now, without one single hole. A feat within itself. The company says, from the mouth of a soda pop consumers to the mouth of your dog, this product lives on.

We won’t be reviewing anything today (boo to us). This is not because we don’t have enough products to review, rather our computers are off and we are out celebrating the Earth. Over the last year plus, we have brought you all sorts of product reviews. From appliances to soccer balls and everything in between. This year is even more important for the Earth because Americans are finally starting to see the impact that individuals can make to change the way the world is going. I’m not talking politics, I’m talking about the Earth and going green. I was told today that “one person can NOT make a difference” and that is a flat out lie. One person can and I hope you feel the same way. So change a light bulb, buy fair trade, eat organic, or recycle. It’s not too difficult.
If you want something to read, check out some of the older reviews, but don’t worry, we will be back tomorrow with more goodies for your reading pleasure.
So go outside and hugg a tree and come back tomorrow for more (or read more for a contest).

Green organic cotton t-shirt with the standout font that says SOS. The O is the Earth that sets this shirt apart with its juxtaposition. The medium shirt fits more like a medium in terms of width, but its length is a little short compared to American Apparel. The screening is dark and keeps its texture after washing.

If you are looking to plug what you believe in, this shirt is straightforward enough to do so.
Ban T-Shirts has a few newer shirts out now with more gutsy messages, but this simple message gets the point across.
I got a few looks wearing the shirt and that is what I wanted. Great Success!
