White Chocolate Wonderful Peanut Butter

There is no way I could have been disappointed with two of my favorite things mixed together. The creamy peanut butter blended with the sweet white chocolate and just melted in my mouth. Or melted in my girlfriend’s mouth, since apparently those are two of her favorite things as well.

    CleanWell Hand Sanitizer

    CleanWell

When I’m not reviewing products, I like to visit thrift stores. I always clean my hands after each store, but until CleanWell, I was using stinky, chemical antibacterial hand sanitizers. Now, with CleanWell, I clean my hands and rid them of harmful germs. With one quick spray from the pump, I am all set. CleanWell is made from Ingenium, a unique formula of plant oils proven to kill 99.99% of germs that can make you sick.

CleanWell is all natural and alcohol-free. The ingredients are safe for kids, non-toxic and come from sustainable, renewable resources. The scent is pleasant and not too strong. Without alcohol in CleanWell, my hands were left soft and not dry and grainy.

I keep the little 1 oz. bottle in my car, but CleanWell also has pocket sized wipes and larger bottles.

I would highly recommend this product to all types of people. It is much safer for you and your family, as well as not full of chemicals. Ingenium contains thyme and other plant oils. Give it a try; you’ll definitely appreciate how your hands feel after a spray.

Check out CleanWell’s site where you can read more about Ingenium, see their other products, shop or locate a store nearby or stop by Target or Whole Foods and purchase CleanWell today!

Amy E’s Organic Chocolate Hazelnut Biscotti

Amy E’s Biscotti are handmade and it shows. The organic chocolate and hazelnut blend together nicely. The biscotti are crunchy, but soften up a bit if you dip it into coffee, hot chocolate or chai tea.

Amy E’s handmade, simple packaging really goes well with her line of specialty products.

Annie Chun’s Soy Ginger Noodle Dinner

I combined frozen edamame and carrots with tofu and Annie Chun’s Soy Ginger Noodles. I marinated the organic tofu in Annie Chun’s Soy Ginger sauce for a few minutes and used the same marinade while cooking. After the tofu was semi soft, I mixed the veggies in and added some more sauce.

    Annie Chun & Friends

In another pot, I cooked the noodles by following the instructions on the box. They were right on the money with cooking time. Once the veggies were cooked, I combined the noodles, veggies and tofu and prepared to eat.

    Annie Chun & Friends

The end result was rather boring. The Soy Ginger Sauce was sub par. I really expected it to be much better and I was rather disappointed. The noodles and tofu soaked up the sauce right away, but it really did not work together.

    Annie Chun & Friends

Rather disappointed, I tried to make it better by adding more sauce, which didn’t help. One more Annie Chun meal left to try. So far, I’m 50/50, so come back and see how it pans out.

    Ban T-Shirts Think Green

Although it was not quite what I was expecting, I do love new t-shirts. I have designed some green shirts for my website which are sold through CafePress, however, I was glad to see another company selling clever and well designed shirts.

    photo-9.jpg

Ban T-Shirts sells shirts designed for different topics like politics, organics, peace and Native Americans. The shirt I am reviewing is the Think Green shirt. At first look you see a deep dark green screen printing of a half tree half brain at a nice size across the chest. Ban T-Shirts uses American Apparel brand for this shirt which means high quality and made in the US of A in sweatshop free factories.

I never wear new clothing without washing it, so I waited until I needed to do my laundry and am currently wearing my freshly cleaned shirt. One wash and the shirt, size large, now fits perfectly.

    photo-6.jpg

My grudge with this shirt is the actual screen printing. They do not use inks that hold up in the wash. The texture in the screen printing is gone and the green is flaking already. You can tell that a few more washes and this off white shirt with green ink will become an undershirt due to color fade.

Ban T-Shirts may have nice designs, but they should find a new screen printer.

**POSITIVE NOTE** There model for this shirt is definitely cuter than I am

    Park and Orchard

    Park and Orchard

I took my girlfriend, Lala, to Park & Orchard for dinner. I have always wanted to eat there, but never really had the chance. I’m glad we went the food was amazing. This eclectic restaurant in East Rutherford, New Jersey is known for their special menu consisting of fresh whole foods, all natural and organic ingredients, unrefined sugar, and unbleached flour. They will cater to your tastes whether it is fat free, salt free, vegan, vegetarian, or celiac. Park & Orchard is also known for their extensive wine list and craft beer selections.

Lala ordered her usual Cabernet Sauvignon and I drank a Sierra Nevada Celebration pint. Love that hoppy beer. As an appetizer we ate stuffed mushrooms that were full of breadcrumbs, cheese and seasoning that just melts in your mouth.

I ordered the vegetarian Cajun meatloaf and Lala had the stuffed eggplant. The meatloaf is full of veggies, legumes and some soy protein topped with cheese and veggie chili (perfectly spiced) on the side. The eggplant was massive and full of spinach, peppers, onions and more veggies covered with sweet tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella.

Prices are reasonable for the huge portions as well as the effort that goes into each dish. It is completely worth it. This dinner was one of the best I have had in a very long time.

It was so amazing that we went back two weeks later and had an even better experience. This time I had Mexican Lasagna and Lala had the Polenta and Veggies.

Bottom line: check out Park & Orchard. Great taste for an incredible value in Bergen County. It’s my second favorite restaurant in Bergen.

You can read more information or see the menu at parkandorchard.com.
