    Airforce Nutrisoda’s Renew

    airforce nutrisoda renew

Renew your body with watermelon or blueberry soda. No artificial ingredients are added, just natural vitamins and minerals. There is soluble fiber, immune boosters, zinc, and vitamin B among others.

I can’t say for certain, that my body was left renewed or refreshed after finished my Nutrisoda, but I was not disappointed. The mildly sweet and tart soda curbed my appetite and left a sweet aftertaste.

Nutrisoda has more varieties, such as Flex and Slender. We’ll see how the others pair up soon enough. The logo is pretty cool too.

    Visit nutrisoda.com for more information.

Revolution Tea’s Organic Huckleberry Red Herbal Tea & Organic White Chai Tea

    Revolution Tea

Revolution Tea is not the average tea company. They are more like a craft tea company. They blend specialized teas, spices, herbs and fruits from all over the world. They believe this will revolutionize tea drinker’s thirst for new exotic teas.

Blending fine teas is an art, much like craft beers and fine wines. The Huckleberry Red Herbal Tea is a blend of herbal ingredients such as orange peel, Rooibus and huckleberries. The relaxing aroma of herbs does its job to calm, especially after a long day at work. The caffeine free Rooibus, also from South Africa, aids in the relaxation process. Rooibus, is naturally caffeine free and contains more antioxidants than green tea. The fragrance is sweet and powerful, which matches the taste.

The mildly sweet, fruity tea is a great nighttime tea. I even enjoyed it cold. Brew up a pot or a mug and cool in the fridge.

    Revolution Tea

The White Chai Tea is the complete opposite of the Huckleberry Red Herbal Tea. Also made of organic ingredients, the Chai Tea is a White Bai Mu Dan Leaf with ginger, cinnamon and cardomom. This deep and hearty tea packs a powerful punch of antioxidants from the white tea. It’s great for breakfast or dessert.

I definitely liked the White Chai better. It has a lot of complex flavors, it is very dark and rich, and not too heavy or spicy. The cinnamon, ginger and cardamom blend work well together. It is evident that a great deal of time was spent creating the perfect amount of spice to achieve one goal.

The infusers are my favorite part. The packages are tin and resealable. The airtight tin contains the pyramid shaped biodegradable tea bags. Revolution Tea considers them infusers, rather then tea bags. This company continues to grow and expand their products.

You can purchase Revolution Teas at small, specialty shops around the world, as well as in large supermarkets. Recently, Revolution Tea has released more portable versions of their tea lines. If you prefer non-organic, due to cost, Revolution Tea also offers a large variety. Check out revolutiontea.com for their online store, to read more information, see their retail locator and more.

Check back soon for more reviews.

    Ecover Laundry Wash

    Ecover

Method Home Products makes a nice smelling laundry wash that works well and comes in a PET (Polyethylene terephthalate aka recycled plastic) bottle. There are other companies trying to compete in the new eco-friendly cleaning supply market. Ecover has been around since 1980 when they decided to create a phosphate-free cleaning solution from their labs in Belgium. For almost 30 years, Ecover has grown to the world’s largest producer of ecological cleaning products. Ecover has locations throughout the US, UK, Switzerland and Belgium. They are a well-respected, eco-friendly company. Their mission is to provide effective, sustainable solutions for the hygienic needs of mankind.

Ecover’s lavender “laundry wash” is a plant-based soap, containing citric acid, planet-based fragrance and other natural ingredients. The unique formula has been researched to perfection. It is shipped in a 100% recyclable bottle and is made from polyethylene and polypropylene.
The detergent uses less than a full cap of soap for a full load and the largest bottle contains enough soap for up to 40 loads.

The soap is a little sudsier than other eco-detergents, but did not leave a soapy residue. It doesn’t contain brighteners, which means there are no potential chemical reactions with your skin. Ecover Laundry Wash works well, leaves your clothing smelling fresh and it is biodegradable and does not test on animals.

It’s safe to say, with Ecover Laundry Wash, the soapy water that drains from your pipes will not hurt marine life and those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when it reaches the sewers.

Ecover also produces cleaning solutions for your home. Try it out, the bottles might not be as modern or trendy as Method, but they make a nice product! Come back soon for more Ecover reviews or visit Ecover.com.

    Serrano’s Fresh Mexican Restaurant

The owners of Daruma, a Korean & Japanese restaurant in Rutherford, New Jersey, opened a new fresh Mexican restaurant called Serrano’s. The menu is well thought out and prepared fresh daily. The intimate setting is cozy and clean and an outdoor patio is available during the summer.

The menu contains over 20 items not including the daily specials. The food ranges in price from $7-$12 and the daily lunch special is usually $5. They offer a large variety of vegetarian options and Ken, the owner, will prepare other vegan entrees upon request.

My favorite item is the veggie burrito. This meal is filled with hearty grilled veggies, creamy black beans, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, mild homemade salsa stuffed to the top with a lime cilantro rice mixture. It’s truly amazing. Serrano’s, unlike various Mexican chain restaurants, is fresh and does not leave you feeling bloated and overstuffed.

I also tried the lime tortilla chips with salsa. The freshly cooked chips come out golden yellow with a hint of salt and lime. Dip them into the light, mild salsa and you’re in for a treat. The salsa is not chunky; it’s actually quite smooth. Chris, the carnivore at the table tried the Serrano Burrito with pork. He said it was the best burrito he’s ever had. “Even the vegetables were good.”

    It’s totally worth checking out!
Neither Serrano’s nor Daruma have a website, but you can get a menu by calling them up at 201-507-8820. They are located at 324 Park Avenue in Rutherford right across from Krauzers.

    Smokin’ Chipotle Barbecue Sauce

    Three Hot Tamales Chipotle

New Jersey’s Three Hot Tamales has a barbecue sauce called Smokin’ Chipotle. Sautéed onions, smoked jalapenos (chipotle) and brown sugar are blended together to make this thick, tangy and sweet sauce. Don’t be fooled, it is not too hot. The smoky flavor goes well on veggie burgers, french fries or pretty much anything.

You can purchase it online or from local stores in around the country.

Support the local companies and give it a try.

    Patagonia Capilene 1 Crew

    Patagonia Capilene Crew

Made from 100% recycled polyester, the click here, a base layer shirt, is designed to keep you cool and dry during exercise, keep the sun away on hot days, or just as a comfortable under shirt.

Cut slim, this lightweight recycled polyester shirt was nice and relaxing during a summer camping trip. The sun was shining, the wind was mild and the Capilene did its job. It kept me comfortable. The light blue shirt with dark blue sleeves looked nice too. It’s a great shirt to wear around the house, camping or exercising.

It may also be recycled back into something new using the Command Thread Recycling Program.

Recently, Patagonia set up a mini site called The Footprint Chronicles. This site “allows you to track the impact of a specific Patagonia product from design to delivery.”

It’s pretty cool. Click the link to see it in action. If that’s not enough for you, click here for more reviews or here to visit patgonia.com.
