Seeds of Change Moroccan Lentil Tagine

Seeds of Change Tagine

Tagine is the name for the clay pot and the birthplace of the dish cooked in the claypot. Seeds of Change, started as an organic seed company. Seeds of Change’s eclectic line of products are rather remarkable. The Moroccan Lentil Tagine is a combination of pasta, tomato sauce, zucchini, lentils, and raisins. This blend brings you to the Mediterranean in every bite. The hearty stew has a sweetness to it that comes from the raisins. The slow cooking in the tradition tagine also brings this frozen entrée to another level.

There is, however, a decent amount of sodium and carbs, but after all, it is a pasta dish. This dish is OK for vegetarians too. There are traces of dairy, so sorry vegans and lacto-intolerants.

Sweet Leaf Lemon Lime Unsweet Tea

Sweet Leaf Tea @ Expo East

A Southern tea company who’s name denotes the sweetness of their product has created a unsweet tea. There must be reasoning behind this? I guess it has to do with the fact that sweetness is not always needed; other substitutes can work just as fine.

In this case, Sweet Leaf Tea combines Lemon and Lime to make a mild, tart tea. It’s not 100% organic (the black tea is the only organic ingredient), but it’s full of all natural lemon and lime flavors. It also contains 100% of your daily Vitamin C.

Purchase online or from select retailers nationwide. Check here to read more reviews.

Tofurky Cranberry and Stuffing Deli Slices

    tofurky deli slices cranberry
I don’t like cranberries, but this isn’t bad. It tastes like Tofurky with some extra spices and whatnot thrown into the mix. It’s not my favorite of the Tofurky Deli Slices, but it’s not my least favorite either.

I’ve reviewed many of the other meatless deli slices from Tofurky, check those out here. If you like what you see, visit tofurky.com for more information.

    Guayaki Pure Passion Review

    guayaki

A combination of Yerba Mate, Cane Juice, Passion Fruit, Peach, Hibiscus and more blend to create the Pure Passion. This sweet combination will help you clear your mind and just relax while just sipping away.

I love the effects Yerba Mate has on me. It makes me calm, tranquil and peaceful. It boosts my immune system too, getting rid my seasonal allergies for a little while.

Don’t just take my thoughts as gospel, ask your Argentinean friends what they think. Guayaki is run by some really nice people. They believe in fair trade, organic farming and a green world. Want more info, check out guayaki.com or click here to read more reviews.

Wild Garden RHCP and Hummus Review

    Wild Garden

You already know that I’m a big fan of Wild Garden’s hummus and pita chips. Want some more reasons why? It’s pretty easy when you combine chili peppers with all natural pita chips. The Red Hot Chili Pepper Pita Chips are off the charts hot. I did not expect as much heat and spice when I ate the first few chips.
Wild Garden Red Hot Chili Pepper Pita Chips
The chips are baked so the flavor really gets locked into the chips. There’s a ton of spice and I was not expecting it to be that hot. That’s really my own stupidity, because they are called Red Hot Chili Peppers. The only way to combat the heat was to dip them into the Wild Garden Fire Roasted Red Pepper Hummus to cool down.

That didn’t work, but it didn’t matter, I was in Hummus Heaven. What a great blend, the spicy heat from the chips and the cool and smooth mild hummus was hummazing!

    Izze Sparkling Pear Review

Pear nectar is awesome, however there’s not enough pear flavor in Izze’s Sparkling Pear’s. Pear on it’s own is very subtle, so I understand the addition of grape and lemon juice. I liked drinking the Sparkling Pear, I would just prefer a stronger pear flavor.

Lightlife Smart Tortilla Wrap - Chick’n Ranchero Review

Lightlife makes vegan and vegetarian alternative meat products. We’ve reviewed many Lightlife products before, but never the Ranchero burrito. Made to fill you up without making you sick, this 300 calorie frozen burrito heats up in the microwave in the wrapper it’s shipped in, contains 15 grams of protein, 1 little gram of fat and is 100% vegan. It does contain soy and wheat.

    Lightlife Smart Tortilla

The taste is really the important part though. I’d classify this as boring; it smells better than it tastes and needs some sort of flavor. My opinion is unfavorable. The only reason I enjoyed this frozen product was for the nutritional value. It lacked a lot of flavor, and I covered it with Tabasco sauce.

The protein boost was refreshing though. I’ve enjoyed other Lightlife products, click here to read those reviews. This one disappointed me, but remember this is just one vegetarian’s opinion.

Spicy Tomato Juice, a Luvli review

    Luvli Juices
This little beverage puts that V8 stuff to shame. It’s chock full of veggies and has some heat, too. The bottle may be little, but it packs a punch, let me tell you. Next time, I am not going to drink it for breakfast.

I’m still upset about the Luvli beet juice. It’s full of antioxidants, however there’s fish oil.

Either way, if you see Luvli tomato juice, you may want to try it. ¡Viva la revolution caliente!
