method bloq Review

method home products are not just cleaning supplies. method bloq products are all natural personal hygiene products. I’m very picky when it comes to shaving products. At the moment, I don?t have a particular style or brand that I purchase over another, but that may change. I?ve used lots of different shaving products and so far, method’?s bloq may be my favorite.

method bloq shave cream

The Go Getter/Green Mint Bloq Shave Cream is minty, tingly, refreshing and creamy. I love the scent and the tingling from the mint oil that you feel during the shave and after. There?’s no reason to use after shave with method bloq, you just don?t need it.

The shave cream is 99% naturally-derived and 8 ounces lasts a long time. You can find method at Target, CVS, online, Whole Foods and more.

Grilled Tofu and Veggies with tsp spices

alt text

I grilled up some veggies and tofu outside the other night for dinner. I had portobello mushrooms, red onions, zucchini and tofu. I marinated the veggies in just a hint of balsamic vinegar, organic cinnamon, ancho chile powder and some chile infused garlic cloves. I marinated some sundried tomatoes with the cinnamon and ancho and some Tabasco sweet and sour sauce. It came out great. I was proud of myself. I enjoyed how great the grill lines came out on the tofu and the veggies were soft and loaded with flavor.

The sweet heat from the tsp spices were powerful. It was amazing for these individual servings. The food?s not the point of this review, however. tsp spices is creating innovative, eco-friendly, organic spices with some modern, reusable packing.

The spices can be purchased individually in tins (cumin, coriander, etc) or in combination package tins like Sweet Heat or Sun Shine (lemon and orange zest). Each package contains 12 individual 1 teaspoon packages of spice, so you don?t have to measure. The tins are reusable for mints, altoids, iPod accessories, thumbtacks; you get the hint.

As of now, the spices are available online, but tsp is branching out to more stores. Katie and Sara really have a nice product here and I’?d jump into trying them out today. tsp has a blog too, with recipes and more, check that out here.

Visit tspspices.com and let them know where you came from. Also, check back for more uses for tsp spices? sweet heat.

There’s also a Summer’s End Special going on now. Receive a 10% discount on wholesale orders placed between August 23 and August 31, 2007. Questions regarding this offer should be directed to nancy [at] tspspices.com.

UPDATE

I just received word that the prices on the website are also discounted for regular purchases as well. 10% OFF Everything!!

Kool Freeze Kulfi Ice Cream Bar Review

Thick ice cream on a stick, I thought when I first looked into Kool Freeze’s Kulfi Ice Cream. However, the difference between regular ice cream and kulfi is not just the thickness; the difference is in the way the dessert is actually made.

Kulfi is made without eggs. Traditionally, it is just boiled milk. This delight is found in South Asian countries, especially India. Kulfi is thick because it does not have contain any air, just solid dense frozen milk. In fact, kulfi is not ice cream, but a cousin of ice cream.

Kool Freeze

Kool Freeze Kulfi markets their products as “Exotic Eastern Ice Cream.” and it does taste like ice cream, but very thick. The pistachio contains bits of pistachios that you can see and taste in every bite of the kulfi. It has a mildly, nutty flavor and has a light crunch. The kulfi is a great refreshing way to end a hot day. It’s also the 2006 Food Product of the year.

I’d suggest trying Kool Freeze’s Kulfi. The best part is that kulfi comes in a wide variety of exotic flavors.

Hint Pear Water Review

hint water

I’ve talked about hint water before, it’s filtered water flavored with just a hint of fruits or vegetables. The pear is no exception. Mild, minimal flavor, and thirst quenching, the pear kicks in and makes the water a little more refreshing to drink. I love water, but yes, it has no flavor, unless you’re water pipes are old.

Try the pear hint water if you like water with a dollop of fruit. And while you’re at it, read their blog.
